Israel's Heatwave Ignites Hundreds of Blazes, Firefighters Fight On.

Israel is experiencing a severe heatwave with temperatures reaching up to 44°C (111.2°F) and high winds whipping up hundreds of fires across the country, causing blackouts and forcing some buildings to be evacuated. Firefighters have managed to control the brushfires, limiting property damage, and one man was hospitalized with heatstroke. Rolling blackouts were reported throughout the country as the electricity grid struggled to keep up with high demand for air conditioning. Over 220 brushfires have been reported nationwide, with the largest fires taking place in Beit Hanan, Palmachim, Shilat, Kerem Maharal, Iron Junction, and Kiryat Malachi.
