Elephants Seek Justice as Hunter's Shot Ignites Outrage

A chilling video from eight or nine years ago resurfaced, showing a hunter shooting and killing a bull elephant in the Nakabolelwa Conservancy in Namibia. In a swift act of revenge, the rest of the herd charges at the hunters, trumpeting and stomping as they flee. African elephants are critically endangered, with only an estimated 415,000 left in the world. Hunting for trophies is illegal in Namibia, but a small quota of two elephants per year is allowed, with the claim that it financially benefits local communities.
