"IDF Canine Commandos: The Four-Legged Force Tackling Hamas in Gaza"
TL;DR
The Israeli military's Oketz Unit, a special forces canine unit, is utilizing trained dogs equipped with bodycams to scout buildings and locate threats, including Hamas terrorists, in the Gaza Strip. These dogs, such as Toy and Patrick, have been instrumental in mapping out areas and subduing ambushers, thereby aiding in the Israeli counter-offensive following a deadly attack by Hamas on October 7 that killed around 1,200 Israelis. The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant Palestinian casualties and displacement.
