Italy arrests two Pakistanis after four migrant workers burned in Calabria minivan
TL;DR
Two Pakistani nationals were arrested in southern Italy’s Calabria over the deaths of four migrant farmworkers—three Afghans and one Pakistani—whose charred bodies were found inside a minivan near Amendolara after a fire. Investigators say CCTV evidence linked the suspects to the blaze, with reports suggesting a dispute over transport money as a possible trigger, while officials urged stronger protections for migrant workers amid a spate of arson incidents in the area.
