Succession of Mysterious Deaths Plagues Putin's Favorite Newspaper

Anna Tsareva, the deputy editor of pro-Putin newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, was found dead at her home in Moscow under mysterious circumstances. There were no signs of a break-in or violent death, but she had developed an acute respiratory viral infection. Tsareva's death comes just a year after her former boss, Vladimir Sungorkin, also died in a suspicious manner. Sungorkin was accused of disseminating anti-Ukraine and anti-Western propaganda.
