Syrian Insurgents Launch Major Offensive, Enter Aleppo After Years

TL;DR

Insurgents, including Turkish-backed rebels, have launched a significant offensive against Syrian government forces in Aleppo, resulting in some of the deadliest fighting in years. The conflict, which began in areas controlled by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, has led to the deaths of 255 people, mostly combatants, and displaced over 14,000 civilians.
