"U.S. Urged to Address Israel's Targeting of Journalists in Gaza"

Press freedom groups and human rights organizations are urging President Joe Biden to pressure Israel to abide by international law and hold it accountable for the killings of journalists in the Gaza war, where at least 79 journalists have died, mostly Palestinians and almost all at the hands of the Israel Defense Forces. The groups are calling for an investigation into the deliberate or reckless killing of journalists as potential war crimes, and for the US to use its influence to ensure all parties to the conflict abide by international law, protect journalists, and support their coverage of the war.
