Marlins Promote De Los Santos for MLB Debut as Morel Hits IL
The Miami Marlins will recall 22-year-old first baseman Deyvison De Los Santos to make his MLB debut after Christopher Morel was scratched with a left oblique strain and placed on the 10-day injured list. De Los Santos, acquired from the Diamondbacks in the 2024 A.J. Puk trade, was added to Miami’s 40-man roster and will serve as a right-handed bench option. He spent last year at Triple-A Jacksonville, posting a .241/.311/.363 line with 12 homers, after a strong acronym season with the Diamondbacks in 2024 before the trade.
