Samsung's Odyssey Monitors Push Esports-Grade Refresh Rates to New Extremes
Samsung unveiled four Odyssey gaming monitors at Gamescom: the 27-inch Odyssey G6 with a world‑first 1,100Hz refresh rate (1080p, 1ms; 600Hz at 1440p via Dual Mode) arriving in H2 2026; the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 offering 360Hz at 4K, 520Hz at 1440p, and 680Hz at 1080p with FreeSync Premium Pro and G‑Sync; the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 with 5,120×1,440 (DQHD) at 360Hz, up to 720Hz in Dual HD mode and 1,300 nits peak brightness; and the 42-inch Odyssey OLED G7, a 4K curved OLED at 165Hz with 1000R curvature as part of the 2027 lineup.
