Yamamoto’s 10 Strikeouts and Back-to-Back Home Runs Put Dodgers 2-1 in NLDS
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 3-1 in Game 3 of the 2026 National League Division Series on October 6, taking a 2-1 series lead. Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched seven innings, striking out 10 and allowing only one run, while Enrique Hernandez and Freddie Freeman hit consecutive home runs in the fourth inning to secure the lead. The Dodgers' bullpen held the advantage, with Edwin Diaz closing the game despite a shaky start. The Braves, who had hoped to clinch the series at home, now face elimination in Game 4.
