Porsche Launches First European Wireless Charging Pad for Cayenne Electric
Porsche has begun selling its 11 kW wireless charging pad for the Cayenne Electric in Europe, marking the first such system available in the region or North America. The device claims 90% efficiency and can fully charge the 113 kWh battery overnight. While the pad requires permanent installation, it includes safety sensors to detect living creatures and debris. U.S. availability is expected in 2027, coinciding with new 2027 model updates that include auto-opening doors and expanded paint options.
