Nissan Launches First US E-Power Hybrid, Targets RAV4 with 2027 Rogue
Nissan has officially revealed the 2027 Rogue Hybrid, marking the first time its E-Power series-hybrid technology is available in the United States. The vehicle functions as a range-extended electric car, using a gas engine to charge a battery that powers electric motors, rather than driving the wheels directly. Priced starting at $35,490, the model aims to capture market share from competitors like the Toyota RAV4. Nissan plans to import units initially before shifting production to its Tennessee plant, with the goal of increasing US manufacturing capacity to one million units annually.
