Czinger 21C Spyder Debuts Roof-Optional Hypercar With Record Open-Top Downforce
Czinger unveils the 21C Spyder at Monterey Car Week with a removable carbon roof and BrakeNode braking system. The open-top maintains the coupe’s High Downforce aero and, at 150 mph, produces 3,307 lb of downforce with the roof on (3,267 lb without). Power comes from a 1,250‑hp hybrid setup (2.88L twin‑turbo V8 plus three electric motors), enabling 0–60 mph in 1.9 seconds and a 205 mph top speed with the roof. Only 30 Spyder units will be built (in addition to 80 coupes), starting at $2.75 million, with production in Torrance, California. The car also introduces NeuralNode and other cockpit updates.
