GM's 2027 Colorado & Canyon to Hit Peak Power With 350 HP 2.7L TurboMax (Ranger Raptor the Only Benchmark)
GM plans to equip the 2027 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon with the new 2.7L TurboMax I4 (L4B), delivering 350 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque and aiming to make them the most powerful midsize pickups in 2027—though the Ford Ranger Raptor’s 3.0L EcoBoost V6 (405 hp) outpowers them, while the Tacoma Hybrid offers higher torque at 465 lb-ft; GM cites NVH improvements and availability via the Silverado/Sierra L4B while the Colorado/Canyon adoption is confirmed by GM Fleet Order Guide.
