"Jimmer Fredette Leads USA 3x3 Basketball Team at Paris Olympics"
Former BYU basketball star Jimmer Fredette has been selected for USA Basketball’s first-ever 3x3 Olympic team and will compete in the Paris Games. Fredette, who has excelled in the 3x3 sphere, helped Team USA qualify for the Olympics by winning gold at the 2023 Pan American Games and also led the team in scoring at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. The unique format for 3x3 basketball includes half-court matches with a 12-second shot clock and scoring by ones and twos, with the first team to 21 points or the leader after 10 minutes winning the match.
