Coast Guard halts search for 5-year-old swept from Laguna Beach during rough surf
The U.S. Coast Guard suspended its search for a missing 5-year-old girl swept out to sea near Laguna Beach after more than 30 hours of searching across roughly 90 square miles; a mother and one of the children were rescued by bystanders, while the search for the second child continued amid 9-foot swells and weather warnings.
