Sony A7R VI Debuts with 66.8MP Stacked Sensor, 8K/30p and 4K/120p
Sony has unveiled the Alpha 7R VI, a high‑resolution mirrorless with a 66.8MP back‑illuminated stacked Exmor RS sensor and BIONZ XR2 processor. It adds 8K/30p and 4K/120p full‑frame video, a sensor‑level Dual Gain mode for improved shadows, a redesigned magnesium body, and advanced I/O including dual USB‑C, Wi‑Fi 6E, and 32‑bit float audio when used with the new XLR‑A4 adapter. Other highlights include a 9.44M‑dot EVF, enhanced AF (Real‑time Recognition AF+), an upgraded IBIS system, and a new NP‑SA100 battery. It ships June 2026 for $4,499 body‑only; XLR‑A4 and other accessories are available separately.
