GoPro Mission 1 Pro: 8Kp60, 50MP Photos, and a 5-Hour Battery for Pros
GoPro today announced the Mission 1 Pro, a high-end compact camera powered by the GP3 processor and a 4:3 Type 1 sensor, enabling 8Kp60 Open Gate (4:3) and 16:9 up to 60fps, 50‑MP stills, 10‑bit GP-Log2 with HDR, multiple professional controls, and robust audio/video features; the camera is waterproof to 66 ft, uses a microSD card, and benefits from the Enduro 2 battery for longer runtimes (up to around 5 hours at lower resolutions); a Mission 1 Pro ILS with a Micro Four Thirds mount and a basic Mission 1 model with scaled specs are planned for later in 2026. Pre-orders begin May 21 with general availability May 28; pricing will be announced later.
