Alibaba listing hints at 96 GB RTX 5090 mod under $4K
A Chinese OEM is selling a modified GeForce RTX 5090 with 96 GB of memory on Alibaba for $3,888, likely using a custom PCB and dual-sided GDDR7 modules (possibly with a reballed GPU die and leaked firmware). The price is notably lower than US RTX 5090s and the RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell, but buyers may face firmware instability and no official support; the listing also raises questions since it cites GDDR6X at 14 Gbps, which doesn’t align with a genuine 96 GB Blackwell build.
