20th Century Studios Bets on Roblox Hit as a Movie
20th Century Studios is developing a feature film adaptation of the Roblox survival-horror game 99 Nights in the Forest, with the game's creators as executive producers and no writer or director attached yet; the deal marks the division's first notable game-to-film project since Disney's acquisition, using Grandma’s Favourite Games’ title that has billions of visits and millions of players on Roblox. Executive producer J.R. Young will oversee the project, with Michelle Kamme involved in securing the rights.
