Former Dodgers Pitcher Joins Angels Roster
The Los Angeles Angels have selected the contracts of right-handers Reyes Moronta and Jacob Webb, while activating left-hander Aaron Loup from the injured list. The Angels also optioned three righties to Triple-A Salt Lake. Moronta, who signed a minor league deal with the Angels earlier this month, excelled on the mound for the Giants before shoulder surgery sapped his velocity. Webb, who signed a minor league deal with the Angels during the offseason, posted a 2.47 ERA over 76 2/3 innings of work as a member of the Braves from 2019-2021. Loup, who signed a two-year, $17MM deal with the Angels ahead of the 2022 season, is returning from a hamstring injury.
