Wife's 'You're ready' moment crowns Rai US PGA champion
Aaron Rai, a 31-year-old Brit with no agent, won his first major at the US PGA Championship 2026 after his wife Gaurika Bishnoi Rai told him he was ready; he surged in the final round with an eagle on the ninth and six-under over the last 10 holes to beat the field by three, becoming the first US PGA champion to post a better score in every round and lifting his world ranking into the top 15 while earning $3.7m. He plans to keep his simple, family-centered approach and is still awaiting the actual Wanamaker Trophy due to a minor damage.
