Tire Blowout Forces United Flight 455 to Abort Takeoff at O’Hare
A United Airlines Boeing 737-900 bound for Phoenix (Flight 455) blew a tire during takeoff at Chicago O’Hare and aborted the takeoff; passengers deplaned on the runway and were bused back to the terminal. No injuries were reported, and the FAA has opened a preliminary investigation while another aircraft is arranged to take the passengers to Phoenix later today.
