MoonRay Joins the Academy Software Foundation as Its Latest Open-Source Rendering Project
DreamWorks’ MoonRay renderer, open-sourced as OpenMoonRay in March 2023, is now the Academy Software Foundation’s newest hosted project, joining tools like OpenColorIO and OpenEXR; MoonRay has powered films such as How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, The Bad Guys, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Kung Fu Panda 4, The Wild Robot, and The Bad Guys 2, and will continue development under ASF.
