Chris McKenna Frames 'General Hospital' Exit as a 'Gift' Despite Character's Pool Death
Actor Chris McKenna has addressed his departure from ABC's 'General Hospital,' describing the end of his run as Jack Brennan as both 'disappointing' and a 'gift.' McKenna, who joined the show in February 2025 to replace Charles Measure, filmed his final episode in June 2026. His character, Jack Brennan, was killed off after being found dead in the Metro Court pool. While McKenna noted the abrupt ending was difficult, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work during the birth of his son and to reconnect with a new generation of soap opera fans. He indicated that while the character's story concludes, he remains active in the industry and expects to appear in new projects soon.
