1Password Teams with Claude to Auto-Login Without Revealing Your Passwords
1Password has added Claude support, letting the AI use stored logins and one-time codes to complete browser tasks without the actual passwords ever leaving 1Password. Passwords don’t reach Claude or Anthropic’s systems; for each sign-in, 1Password shows what credential Claude wants and why, and after user approval it autofills the page. Access is limited to the current task and ends when finished. Card data and identities aren’t supported yet. The extension’s Agentic Mode locks passwords down so AI agents can only use logins and codes with user approval, even if the integration isn’t active. It’s available on Mac and requires appropriate 1Password plans, a Claude plan (Pro/Max/Team/Enterprise), the 1Password desktop app, and the Claude Chrome extension.
