Tragic Loss: Second Tanzanian Confirmed Dead in Israel Attacks
A Tanzanian agricultural student, Joshua Mollel, who was part of an Israeli-sponsored farm program, has been confirmed as killed in the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks on southern Israel. Tanzania's foreign minister stated that Mollel was immediately killed after being kidnapped by Hamas. This marks the second Tanzanian citizen to be killed in the attacks, with another citizen, Clemence Felix Mtenga, previously confirmed dead. The Israeli government has been seeking to strengthen ties with African governments, including through agricultural internship programs.
