Lions sideline Izien, Hassanein for Saints opener
The Detroit Lions declared five players inactive for their Week 1 matchup against the New Orleans Saints on September 13, 2026. Defensive back Christian Izien and edge rusher Ahmed Hassanein were the notable absences, joining CB Ennis Rakestraw, LB Jimmy Rolder, and DT Mekhi Wingo on the inactive list.
