Sony ships Android 17 to Xperia lineup with Desktop mode and custom camera tweaks
Sony has begun rolling Android 17 to the Xperia 1 VIII, adding Desktop mode for PC-like multitasking and extending the feature to older flagships (1 VII and 1 VI). The update (73.1.A.2.61, about 1.2GB) also brings wallpaper/style customization, a redesigned Quick settings panel, improved screen recording, and the ability to save up to three AI Camera Assistant looks on the Xperia 1 VIII.
