Sony to Discontinue High-End Airpeak S1 Drone by March
Sony is discontinuing its $9,000 Airpeak S1 drone, designed for use with its mirrorless cameras, with sales ending by March 31, 2025, and support ceasing in 2030. Despite initial promises of high performance, the drone struggled against competitors like DJI and received poor early reviews. Although Sony improved the drone with software updates and new accessories, the release of a new incompatible camera signaled the end of the Airpeak S1.
