Lukashenko vows no Belarusian threat to Ukraine, offers Zelensky apology
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko told Al Arabiya that Belarus poses no military threat to Ukraine and apologized to President Zelensky for past harsh remarks, saying his earlier comments were in response to Ukrainian threats and Kyiv’s claims of targeting Belarus. He added that no military action should be expected from Belarus and urged Zelensky to avoid provoking Minsk. The remarks come amid prior Ukrainian warnings that Belarus could be drawn into the conflict and Lukashenko’s own threats of retaliation if Belarus feels threatened.
