Severe storms and rain threaten multiple states overnight.
Severe storms remain possible in Alabama, with an Enhanced Risk in the extreme west and southwestern parts of the area and much of the rest of North and Central Alabama under a Slight Risk. While storms approaching I-65 are strong, there are no severe storms in the area yet. The threat of damaging winds, large hail, and a tornado or two remains. Storms moving into the area from Mississippi are a concern, especially if they maintain their strength. Instability will increase when the sun comes up, but much of the activity will have pushed over into Georgia by rush hour.
