Point Break Heads to AMC: Eight-Episode TV Series Greenlit
AMC and AMC+ have ordered an eight-episode Point Break TV series, a modern update of the 1991 film, from Alcon Television Group with AMC Studios and StudioCanal producing; StudioCanal will handle international sales outside the U.S. and Canada. Production is set to begin in early 2027, with Dave Kalstein and Christopher C. Rogers as co-showrunners and executive producers. The logline envisions a new Ex-Presidents–inspired heist crew and an FBI infiltrator, continuing the legacy of the film; a 2015 remake previously attempted to reboot the story.
