American McGee has announced that EA has rejected funding and licensing for a potential sequel to Alice: Madness Returns, effectively ending any hope for a new game. McGee has also stated that he is leaving game development altogether and has no interest in pursuing new game ideas. However, a TV adaptation of the series is still in the works.
