Malkovich Withdraws from Tel Aviv Show After Fabricated Quotes Appear in Press Release
John Malkovich has canceled his scheduled April 13, 2027, performance of 'The Music Critic' in Tel Aviv, Israel, after a press release falsely attributed quotes to him. The actor stated he was never consulted and that the fabricated statements, which expressed 'solidarity' with the audience, did not reflect his views. The Israeli promoter's PR firm apologized for the error, and Malkovich emphasized that his artistic presence does not constitute political approval.
