John Sanchez, 34, was pronounced dead Friday at University of New Mexico Hospital. The sheriff’s office is investigating his death. Sanchez had been arrested June 8 after police said he was found behind the wheel of an SUV that had been reported stolen.

Australian authorities have charged several people in connection to two altercations that occurred on a recent flight, with the first leading to an emergency return to the airport. One woman was taken off following the first alleged incident, and three other people were taken into custody upon arrival in Groote Eylandt. Footage appeared to show an individual purportedly swinging a green-colored bottle during one of the commotions, and a window on the inside of the plane at one point sustained damage.
