AMC Studios Pushes Bannerman, Eyes Point Break Series and Grapes of Wrath Anthology
At its 2026 upfront, AMC Studios revealed Bannerman has opened a writers room for a TV adaptation of John Maxim’s spy novels with Shane Black directing and Craig Silverstein running the series; a Point Break TV series is moving toward production with Dave Kalstein writing and aiming for a 2027 premiere after an Australian shoot; and The Grapes of Wrath will anchor the new Great American Stories anthology, with Rolin Jones and Brett C. Leonard co‑writing under Mark Johnson’s oversight, targeting 2027 production and debut.
