AnyPS5 Hits 100% GPU Shader Coverage, Runs Simple PS5 Games Natively on PC
The open-source AnyPS5 project has achieved 100% coverage of PlayStation 5 GPU shader instructions, enabling native execution of simple PS5 titles on Windows and Linux without CPU emulation. By leveraging the PS5's x86-64 Zen 2 architecture, the tool relinks console binaries to native PC executables, bypassing traditional emulation overhead. While system library implementation stands at approximately 86%, the project successfully runs the 2D platformer Dreaming Sarah at 60 FPS on modest hardware, marking a significant step toward native PC compatibility for console games.
