UFL Expands to Utah and Oklahoma City for 2028 Season
The United Football League (UFL) announced Wednesday that it will add franchises in Utah and Oklahoma City for the 2028 season, expanding the league to 10 teams. The Utah team will play home games at America First Field in Sandy, partnering with the Larry H. Miller Co. The league also confirmed that teams in Colorado Springs and Rhode Island will begin play in 2027, while current franchises in Houston and Birmingham will relocate to those cities. UFL president Russ Brandon cited strong fan support and venue quality as key factors for the Utah selection, though the team name and branding remain undecided.
