Tigers DFA Granillo to Make Room for Max Clark
The Detroit Tigers designated right-hander Andre Granillo for assignment to open a 40-man roster spot for outfielder Max Clark, while Matt Vierling was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left adductor strain. Granillo, recently claimed off waivers from Washington, has limited major league experience and is expected to clear waivers (or possibly be traded) before the August 3 deadline; if he clears, he could remain in a non-roster capacity with Detroit.
