Wonder Man Showrunner Clears Up Cancellation Rumors: No Movie In The Works
Showrunner Andrew Guest posted a video to clear up rumors about Wonder Man’s fate, saying there is no movie in the works and that the cancellation decision was made internally by Disney and Marvel despite earlier renewal talk. He explained that a Season 2 was planned, with the writers’ room slated to start and production expected for early next year, and that contracts and schedules had been cleared. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II led the series, which debuted in January, and Nielsen data showed 618 million minutes viewed in its opening week as plans for a second season were scrapped.
