Cutch Lands on Rangers Opening Day as Rocker Grabs No. 5 Starter
Veteran outfielder Andrew McCutchen makes the Texas Rangers' Opening Day roster, adding veteran depth to a right-handed balance in the lineup, while Kumar Rocker wins the fifth starter job over Jacob Latz. Cal Quantrill and Austin Gomber were cut from the roster, and Latz will begin in a bullpen role. Rocker joins a rotation with Jack Leiter, Jacob deGrom, Nathan Eovaldi, and MacKenzie Gore, forming a potentially elite but injury-prone group.
