Leaked Images Confirm Google's Fitbit Edge as a Mid-Range Hybrid

Leaked images confirm the existence of the Fitbit Edge, a new mid-range wearable from Google that bridges the gap between the screenless Fitbit Air and the full-featured Pixel Watch 5. The device features a small oval screen, a sensor array similar to the Air, and limited app support for services like Google Maps and YouTube Music. It is expected to offer seven days of battery life, built-in GPS, and an altimeter, with compatibility for both Android and iOS devices. While no official release date or price has been announced, industry estimates place the cost between $149 and $199, positioning it as a successor to the discontinued Fitbit Charge line. The device is available in multiple color options, including black, green, and orange, with interchangeable bands allowing for further customization. This launch signals a renewed focus by Google on the Fitbit brand after several years of limited product updates, offering consumers a more affordable alternative to the high-priced Pixel Watch 5.
