
Las Vegas ex-pastor dies in custody amid Utah murder case
David Vander Meer, a former Las Vegas youth pastor linked to his wife Bernadette’s 2006 death at Angels Landing in Zion National Park, died in custody in Las Vegas while awaiting extradition on a murder charge after new information prompted a Washington County warrant. The 49-year-old was taken from Clark County Detention Center to UMC for self-inflicted injuries and pronounced dead shortly after.
