Angine de Poitrine Premieres New Track 'Zugzegk' on Fallon

The anonymous Quebec-based duo Angine de Poitrine made their US late-night television debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on September 14, 2026. The pair, who perform in papier-mâché alien costumes, premiered a new song titled 'Zugzegk' rather than tracks from their April 2026 album, Vol. II. The performance marked a significant mainstream breakthrough for the microtonal rock act, which is currently on a global tour through December.

Masked Quebec duo Angine de Poitrine redefine live prog with microtonal mystique

Angine de Poitrine are a Quebec-based, masked duo whose microtonal, proggy rock has ignited online hype. Known for their handmade papier-mache headpieces, they emphasize live performance over PR, keep their identities shrouded, and draw peers from King Gizzard and avant-garde circles. After forming in Saguenay and releasing Vol II, they continue touring the UK and Europe while juggling day jobs, insisting the band’s mystique is an intentional part of the art rather than a shortcut to fame.
