Deadly Attack by Cameroon's Anglophone Separatists Claims Over 20 Lives
At least 20 people, including women and children, were killed in an attack by anglophone separatist rebels in a village in Cameroon's restive anglophone region. The attack occurred in Egbekaw village, which has been the site of clashes between rebels and government forces for seven years. The conflict in Cameroon's primarily English-speaking Northwest and Southwest regions has claimed over 6,000 lives and displaced more than a million people. Both the separatists and government forces have been accused of atrocities in the fighting.
