Braves land Mahle in a modest, low-risk deadline add
Atlanta acquired right-hander Tyler Mahle from the San Francisco Giants for right-hander Anthony Molina in a low-risk MLB Trade Deadline move. Mahle, 32, owns a 5.13 ERA this season but has shown improvement since returning from a hamstring injury, providing the Braves a back-end rotation option without major prospect cost. The Giants, not contending this year, shed salary and added a younger arm in Molina. The Athletic grades the swap modestly: Braves C+ and Giants C.
