Paramount-Warner Merger Mediation Looms as Ruffalo Dispute Escalates
Paramount Skydance and California Attorney General Rob Bonta face a court-ordered mediation this week to resolve an antitrust dispute over the $111 billion Warner Bros. merger, just days after a public feud erupted between the studio and actor Mark Ruffalo. Paramount accused Ruffalo of using 'antisemitic tropes' after he linked the deal to Oracle’s military contracts with Israel, a claim Ruffalo rejected as dishonest. While Bonta insists the case is strictly about competition, the controversy has intensified political pressure on both sides to reach a settlement before a March 2027 trial.
