Tedeschi Trucks Band Cancels Newport and FloydFest for Susan Tedeschi Surgery
The Tedeschi Trucks Band canceled its Newport Folk Festival appearance in Rhode Island and FloydFest in Virginia after singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi revealed she had an appendix scare and will undergo surgery. The 12-member group said she’ll be okay and apologized to fans, with plans to resume the tour later, including a Red Rocks run scheduled for July 31–Aug. 1.
