Tesla Settles Autopilot Crash Lawsuit with Apple Engineer's Family
Tesla is reportedly settling with the family of Apple engineer Wei “Walter” Huang, who died in a crash involving a Tesla Model X using Autopilot. The settlement amount is being kept confidential, and a follow-up hearing is scheduled to discuss it further. The National Transportation Safety Board found that both Autopilot and distracted driving were factors in the crash, and Tesla was planning to argue that Huang was playing a game on his phone at the time.
